Numeracy Assessment 2018.
The new Numeracy Assessment will be taking place during the LVR Exam & Assessment Week starting June 20th until June 27th.
In this pilot year, all Grade 11 and Grade 10 students will have their first opportunity to take the assessment. Students will have two opportunities to re-write during their grad years should they wish to become more proficient.
The assessment is necessary for graduation requirements, and will be reflected on students' transcripts as a 4 point proficiency scale. If students are rated as "Emerging" they will still graduate.
The assessment is not tied to a specific Math course, but evaluates a student's numeracy skills (reading and interpreting graphs, solving problems, foundation math skills) over the course of their education.
