Dear Grad Parents of 2018! We are inviting interested parents who wish to serve on the Parent Grad Committee to attend an introductory meeting on Tuesday, September 26th at 7 pm in the Multi-Purpose Room. The Grad Parent Committee of 2017 will be on hand to explain what needs to be done, and to support the transition to the new Grad Parent Committee of 2018. We are also in process of LVR Grad Student Committee nominations this week, which we hope to close and announce next Tuesday, October 3rd. Hope to see many parents/guardians out to volunteer! Please note: Grade 11 parents/guardians are also welcome to attend as part of the “pay it forward” continuing initiative.
Grads, it’s time to nominate your Grad Committee for 2018! Nomination forms are available in the office starting today at noon. Nominations close on Wednesday at noon, nominees will be contacted before end of day and be asked to say a brief statement in the MP room on Thursday, Sept 28th before their peers. Voting will take place on site, and then at the office until noon Monday, October 2nd. Votes will be counted, and the successful candidates will be announced on LVTV on Tuesday, October 3rd. There are usually up to 7 Grad Committee representatives who will work on our behalf to provide an excellent grad, including fundraising and working alongside the Parent Grad Committee. Questions? See Ms. Malloff for more info.
This is a reminder regarding an upcoming external scholarship. Any grade 12 students that are interested in submitting their names to the sponsored pool for the Loran Scholarship, should forward their name with a brief synopsis of their leadership accomplishments/merits that fit the Loran scholarship- see website for details http://www.loranscholar.ca/
