GOVERNMENT EXAMINATIONS

Grade 12 government exams (also known as provincial exams) exist for only English 12, Communications 12, and Francais Langue 12.

  1. Government exams can only be written on the date and time set by the Ministry of Education. Make yourself aware of the schedule.
  2. Use the Ministry of Education website and click on the Student Secure Web icon to login and access your results.
  3. BC Ministry of Education will now award a $1000 Scholarship based your government examinable courses in Grades 10, 11, and 12. You must have at least a B in your Language Arts course and a minimum of an A and three Bs on four of your best government exams (this can include English 12).
  4. Examination rewrite rules have been relaxed for one year to allow you to rewrite a required exam in order to improve your score. If you wish to rewrite a government exam you will need to see your counsellor in order to get on the Ministry of Education Exam Register.
