Have you always wanted to fly? Well the Nelson Youth Action Network and Discover Circus have joined together to bring you FREE Aerial Silks Workshops for youth! All you have to do is register at www.discovercircus.ca. There are beginner and advances session starting this Saturday September 29th. Register now as there are limited spots available.

The Senior Lady Field Hockey team beat Stanley Humphries 7 - 1 on Thursday afternoon on goals from Gioia Valk with 2 goals, Elle Schlegel with 2 goals, Jessica McLeod with 2 goals, and Zoe Baxter with one goal. On Tuesday the Juniors played against JL Crowe with the Bombers controlling the game from start to finish on goals from Gioia Valk with the hat trick, and Elle Schlegel with the single to give the Juniors a well deserved 4 - 0 win. The next up is a Junior Tournament in Oliver, Sept. 28 and 29.
Freedom Quest will be starting up again this Friday at lunch in room 205 and all are welcome. Mandy will give an overall of the program and everyone can ask questions and decide what drugs we wish to learn more about the following week. This is a confidential setting so while information sharing is encouraged, personal discussions are not to leave the group. Grade 10's - 12's, are you looking for an awesome volunteer experience to put on your resume? Consider being a big buddy! We will pair you up with a school age child to meet up regularly at the library for reading practice. Come to the mandatory training and be matched up with your little buddy. The meeting takes place on Saturday, September 29, from 10 to 11am at the Public Library.
Did you know that the last Residential School in Canada closed its doors in 1996? This Residential School was located in Punnichy, Saskatchewan and operated for 110 years. Tomorrow, please wear an Orange Shirt to honour Indigenous Children who attended these schools.
