2: As part of Culture Days the Nelson public Library is putting on a creative writing session for teens. Come learn from writer Rayya Liebich how to write nature poetry! This will be the first session of the newly formed Creative Writing Group. All teens, all writing levels welcome! Snacks provided! Friday, October 30th, 3:30-5 pm. 3: Ms. Terlingen is looking for some volunteers for set up for the Alberta Universities & Colleges night on Tuesday from 5:45 to 8:45 pm, you can use hours for your GT 12 course. Please see Ms. Terlingen at lunch on Monday in counselling to sign up.
4: Anyone interested in joining Student Council please attend a brief meeting tomorrow in the library. New members are welcome.
5: The next bullet journal session will be Tomorrow at lunch. Remember to come with your journal and some lovely pens.
6: Love the water? Love to swim and race? The LVR Swim Team is looking for swimmers. If you are interested in training and competing see Kathy in Room 205.
7: Attention all Aboriginal Education students: Toni will be running two workshops tomorrow during Block 1 and Block 4. In Block 1, she will be teaching about Bear Totems and in Block 4, she will talk about Anthropology and the History of Totems. Other LVR students are welcome AS LONG AS YOU HAVE PERMISSION FROM YOUR TEACHERS. Please see Toni in room 202 TODAY if you are interested.
8: Dance Company students meet today at 11:40 in the theatre.
9: For any Boys still interested in playing for the LVR Bombers this year. There will be a soccer practice today on the upper field. We are in the process of selecting the team and everyone is still welcome.
10: Grace Nakano, the medical practitioner will have the Wellness Clinic starting Wednesday, September 28th from 10:45 -12:15. She is able to diagnose regular medical conditions, write or refill prescriptions, supply condoms and morning after pills, make referrals to specialists and offer mental health support. She will be here every second Wednesday at that time. Please see Robin in the counselling area if you'd like to make a confidential appointment.
