It's time to bring together students who are interested in volunteering for Grad Committee 2019 this year. Please let Ms. Malloff know if you'd like to be part of the Student Grad Committee by Friday. There will be a brief meeting on Tuesday October 9th at break, and then a meeting with the Parent Grad Committee on Tuesday, October 9th at 7 pm in the Multi-Purpose Room. As part of the Student Grad Committee, your job is to support fundraising, hoodie orders, grad logo & theme, and to work with the Parent Grad Committee to make the June 15th Grand March, Cavalcade, and Prom a safe and memorable weekend. A reminder to the Rotary Interact Club to sign up to volunteer for the Annual Book sale.
There will be a Philosophy Club meeting at lunch today in room 102. Teachers and students are welcome. No prior knowledge of Philosophy is needed.
There will be a bake sale today put on by the student council. All proceeds will go to the Nelson Food Cupboard, so bring your money and purchase a delicious treat.
The book club meets this Friday at lunch to make some book choices. Meet in the library at 11:45.
Rotary Youth exchange applications for short and long term are due in the office by Friday October 13th. Interviews will take place on Wednesday October 17th in the multi-purpose room at 7pm.
NDYC is offering a Foodsafe level 1 course on Saturday October 20th from 8:30am to 5pm at the NDYC. The cost is $90 and students can sign up by calling (250) 352-8116 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
Reminder to SAGA members this year's kick off picnic is Friday at lunch. Meet in room 404, that is the Media Arts Lab.

Change of Date: The next LVR PAC meeting and the LVR PAC AGM is now Mon Oct 22nd at 7pm. Any parents interested in being in one of the exec. roles, as chair, vice chair, secretary or treasurer, or sharing a role (ie: co-secretary, or co-chair) please contact LVR PAC through email@example.com. Christine Perkins , the SD8 superintendent, will speak on the new SD8 Strategic Plan, the SD8 3 year professional development plan for high school teachers, and Deeper Learning Projects.
