The Kootenay Romanian relief fund is looking for two students to volunteer their time taking photos of kids with Santa at the Mall through December. The hours are usually 4 to 7 pm after school. These hours also qualify for grad transition requirements. Please see Mr. Machado for further details.
To LVTV students who are planning to attend this Friday's potluck: please do not bring any food that contains nuts, or water chestnuts. Especially no water chestnuts. Thank you!
Students interested in volunteer opportunities should visit the Volunteer board outside the counselling office. This weekend there is a hospice opportunity to help the elderly. See Mr. Machado or Ms. Wiltshire for details.
A reminder that Selkirk College is hosting it's Open House this Saturday.
Any LVR Dance students wishing to be a part of this year's trip to Vancouver December 5th to the 8th, must attend an informational meeting today, in room 200 right after flex time. This year's trip will include a tour of SFU's Contemporary Arts Programs, participation in multiple classes at Harbour Centre, and going to a performance of the Nutcracker at the Queen Elizabeth theatre. That is today in Room 200, at 11:35.
If you're interested in learning how to DJ, there is a two part DJ workshop this November, put on by the Public Library. The first part will be on November 6th, from 3:30 to 5:30pm, and the second part on November 20th, from 3:30 to 5:30pm. The workshop is free, but only ten spots are available. The yearbook committee will be hosting a photo booth in the multipurpose room at lunch hour. Costume or no costume, come on down!
