Tech Fair at the Nelson Public Library this Saturday! All ages are welcome to this free, drop-in event put on by Canada Learning Code's Code Mobiles. We will have different stations set up for you to explore, including computer games, stacking cups, Mozilla X-Ray Goggles, robots, Makey Makey, and more! Saturday, Oct. 20 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Do you want to learn leadership skills, connect with other youth, volunteer and have fun? Well then you should come to the Youth Action Team pizza party and info session on October 22nd from 4-6pm at the NDYC (608 Lake st). A reminder that there is a grad meeting tonight, at 7pm in the multipurpose room for any parents who would like to be involved in the parent grad committee. We will be establishing the Executive committee as well as the sub committees.
This Friday, October 19th, is a Pro-D day. Although we won't have classes in session, students in Grades 11 and 12 are invited to attend to hear Dr. David Burns, university professor at Kwantlen University who will be speaking on Transforming Education in BC: Supporting and Preparing Learners for the Future. The afternoon session starts at 1 pm until 2:30 here at the LVR Gym.
There will be a meeting tomorrow at 11:40 in room 211 for all Intercultural Ambassadors.
All LVR boys soccer team members please come to Mr. Morton's room at 11:35 TODAY in order to make some important tournament decisions, Hoodie orders, and underarmour discussions. If you've come to any tournament then come to this meeting!!
Students interested in the Leadership in Educational Technology group, please meet in Room 205 at lunch. Our group will explore new technology which can help provide access to education for all students. We empower each other to learn new tools, learn about Design Theory, and problem solve issues of concern for the group. Please see Ms. Mobbs for more information.
