The youth centre is looking for 2 or 3 students to help out at the Youth Centre during Spring Break with kids camp. This will run from March 19th to March 29th, Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm, with an hourly wage of $12.50 with an added 4% in lieu of benifits. There will be a Job Fair tomorrow from 12 to 4:30pm at the Nelson & District Youth Centre. If you are looking for a summer job this is the place to be! It is free and all ages are welcome.

Grade 12 Students! In order to participate in the Graduation Ceremony on June 15th, you must have all of your Graduation credits confirmed by May Long Weekend, Friday, May 18th. It is a must that any online courses are completed by that time, with proof, including any IDS courses at LVR, and that you are not at risk of failing any Semester 2 courses for Graduation eligibility. If you are concerned about your graduation, please talk to your Semester 2 teacher, see a counsellor or administration asap, before Spring Break.
Any students, especially those who are part of Student Council, who are interested in participating in the West Kootenay Student Voice Forum on April 6, 2018 please see Ms Malloff today. Student Voice provides interested students with a voice and leadership in current issues in education in a regional forum.
This Wednesday, all students will participate in the school wide lock-down drill. The purpose of the drill is to prepare staff and students for the unlikely event of an intruder entering campus with the intent to harm. This drill is to be taken seriously. Teachers, please discuss with each of your classes where in your room would be the most appropriate place to hide and be silent. Students in hallways should quickly move to the nearest room. Absolutely no cellphone use during this lockdown drill. More info to come.

Are you planning on going to Selkirk College in September and you need to take the College Readiness Test? If there is enough interest to take the test here at LVR, we will set up a day for this to happen. Please see Mr. Konken before spring break to sign up.
There is a rec leadership meeting, in the regular room for any members wanting to run Belly ball inter murals. Please meet at the beginning of lunch.
The deadline to order a Yearbook is tomorrow! They are either 42$ or 45$, the higher price is for getting your name embossed on the cover. You can order by giving a cheque to the office or online. Grads who have paid their grad fees have their yearbook included. Also - the yearbook team wants you to send in your photos (high quality files required) to lv2018yearbook at gmail.com. Make sure to also include the names of the people in the photos.
