Mr. McComb has extended the deadline to hand in applications for the Marine Biology trip to Mexico until Wednesday. If you are interested in knowing more about this Biology trip to the Sea of Cortez, drop by room 301 for information and an application.
Grad grocery card fundraiser is now on. Order forms available at the office, school webpage and Parent Facebook page. Deadline is Friday Feb. 17 by 3:30 pm.
Congratulations to all of the students who participated in the dance show at the Capitol Theatre this past weekend. Dance Company students have today off from regular rehearsal times at lunch. You will meet Thursday at the regular time.
Please welcome our 14 new International Students to our school and in our classrooms. Many of them will be starting tomorrow and over the next few days. They have travelled from Austria, China, Germany, Mexico and Japan! Please lend them a friendly, welcoming Canadian and Intercultural hand.

If you are looking for course changes, visit the Counselling Centre to sign up, or visit Mr. Machado if you are Gr 10-12 with last name M-Z, Mr. Cross and Mr. Konken if you are in Grade 9 or Grade 10-12 with last name A-L. Need scholarship help or university entrance questions? See Ms. Shelley Wiltshire in the Counselling Centre Monday or Tuesday from 10-1 pm.
Auditions for this years Shakespeare festival play will take place from 3:30-5:00 on Friday February 3rd and are open to those in Grades 10-12. Audition sides and more information about the play can be found on the drama room bulletin board.
Attention Aboriginal Education Students: YOU HAVE A NEW WEBSITE! You can access it through the school website under 'More' then 'Programs' or with the address: aboriginaleducationlvr.weebly.com. It has all the upcoming events listed. This week, Toni has 2 things planned. If you are Metis or interested in Metis culture, there will be an Elder visiting us on Thursday, February 2nd in Block 4. On Friday of this week, Toni will be taking students dog-sledding in blocks 2, 3, & 4. See Toni as soon as possible as there a limited number of spaces for that activity. As always, make sure you have seen all of your affected teachers to get permission to attend any of these events.
There is a new club called " Italian cooking food and friendship" run by Olindo Chiocca an Italian food writer and Mr Machado.
It runs every Wednesday after school and promotes Techniques in quick Italian cooking. Please sign up on Mr. Machado's door or send him an email.
All Block 4 Cafeteria students need to come to the Cafeteria at 11:35. And all Block 3 cafeteria students need to come to the cafeteria at 12:00.
