Want an adventure in Quebec and earn credits toward your double dogwood? The Explore program is a five-week intensive French language program for Grades 11-12 students with any skill level in French. The program covers tuition fees for the course, instructional materials, meals and accommodation. Students can also receive four French elective credits to put towards their Dogwood Diploma. See your French Immersion teacher or the Office for details. Deadline for applications is February.
Intercultural Ambassadors, You're invited to join the International students at Ainsworth Hot springs next Saturday, December. 8th. Free bus rides and entrance to the hot springs will be provided. If interested, please sign up on Tanis' door by Tuesday.
Due to lack of available teams to play, the senior girls volleyball team's season has ended early
Attention student leadership groups, including Student Council, SAGA, Ambassador Club, AbEd Leadership, Healthy Action team and Rec Leadership! Thursday, December 6th, will be a workshop in the Multi Purpose Room at lunch to talk about student leadership and making our school a great place for everyone! Pizza lunch will be served. Any International Students considering attending college or university in Canada, you are invited to attend a presentation by Selkirk College staff Tuesday December 11th at 11:40 in room 211. There will be Mandarin and Korean language presenters.
The junior girls took home third place. This group dominated league play this season, only losing a 3 or 4 matches. At the West Kootenay finals, they easily beat Trail and Grand Forks with ease and advanced to the semi finals where they faced off against Grand Forks. Unfortunately, they were not playing with their usual intensity and lost the game. They came back strong and took third place from SHSS of Castlegar in 2 easy sets.
There will be an LVTV meeting tomorrow at lunch all staff please attend.
