Want to become a Student Trustee and have a voice at the School Board Level? It doesn't take much time or commitment, but it helps give students a voice at the school board office. Pick up forms at the Office, and see Ms Malloff if you have any questions. Open to students currently in Grade 10 and 11.
Grade11 students who have any questions regarding next years course selection, drop by counselling today at lunch for help with your course selection. Please bring your course selection sheet.
Big shout out to LVR students who participated in the West Kootenay Regional Science Fair this past weekend. Liam Ingram won gold and a $100 BC Nature Award. Marisa Price also won gold and a $100 Canadian Women in Science and Technology Award. Dylan Peil won a $600 MIDAS Lab award, a $1,000 scholarship, a $2,000 scholarship nomination, and an all expenses paid trip to Ottawa for the Canada Wide Science Fair. Great job everyone! Thursday there is a workshop on bear totems block 22 and Friday there is a workshop on arrow and dart making in block 1. Both events are open to all ab-ed students.

Are you interested in Archery and traditional skills? There is a new club run by Mr.Roch, Toni Appelby and Mr Machado. Come Learn to be a skilled and proficient archer, make fire from flint, cordage from plants and cook in traditional and ancient ways as well as make new friends. All grades welcome to come to an information meeting this Friday at 11:35 in room 202.
A reminder to all grade 9 to 11 students that online course selections start this Friday and will run into next week. If you don't have a course selection sheet you can pick one up at the office. You should know which courses you will choose when we call you down to make your selections.
